Support Svitlo School to help Ukrainian children affected by war

Combat learning loss and social isolation, and join our mission to empower Ukraine’s future leaders to become global citizens

Illuminate the future for the children of Ukraine with a monthly or one-time donation

Svitlo School is a unique online educational sanctuary for Ukrainian children affected by war.

By choosing a monthly donation, your support has a big impact over the course of a year:

  • £5 a month could provide a course of English lessons for 10 children
  • £25 a month could provide 1-2-1 support for 100 children to apply and join Svitlo School
  • £50 a month could provide training and support for 60 current volunteers to teach the children

By choosing a one-time donation, your support helps us equip children with vital resources:

  • £15 could provide the shipment of 6 English books for our student library
  • £30 could provide headphones for a displaced child without a quiet space of their own to study
  • £50 could provide a course of English lessons for 8 children

Find out more about Svitlo School and our vital work with Ukrainian children

Svitlo School is a registered charity in England and Wales with a very important mission - to empower the future social, political and business leaders of Ukraine to become global citizens.

We exist to combat the learning loss and social isolation inflicted on Ukrainian children.

In the last academic year, we supported over 500 students by providing:

  • excellent language skills through high quality academic and social lessons in English
  • educational opportunities like scholarships and free summer school placements in the UK and USA
  • a safe, stable community where students can enjoy new friendships and experience a sense of belonging
Svitlo students learn from an international community of 65+ volunteers, supported by a dedicated team of educators and Ukrainian refugees in the UK. It’s a place where curiosity, creativity and friendships flourish and children become knowledgeable, confident global citizens with hope for the future.

The future of Ukraine lies with the next generation, equipped with the knowledge, skills and global outlook to rebuild the country and establish political and business ties with Europe and the rest of the world.
