Since the onset of the full-scale war in Ukraine, she has dedicated her life to volunteering and fighting against Russia as part of the Art Battalion, all while continuing to pursue photography. Follow this link to see Mariana’s work.

In her talk, Mariana shared her journey of becoming a professional photographer. She also discussed her current work and her role as a volunteer director for the TV project “Varta,” which explores stories of different battalions in the Ukrainian army. During the session, she touched upon the importance of having people who are ready to support you when you start something new.

Mariana also answered questions about how to make people comfortable during photoshoots and her experience with photographing animals. Another topic she covered was how to become noticeable and recognised in your field and how to overcome daily slumps.
