Summer — is a time of discovery, new experiences, and adventures. For two of our students, Stacy and Uliana, this (year or summer) was a moment when dreams truly came true.
The girls dreamed of travelling abroad, and one day they received an incredible opportunity to attend a summer camp in Great Britain 🇬🇧 What could be better than spending a holiday in a country they had only seen in the movies and read of in books 🎥📚.
The journey began with unmatched emotions at the airport. It was their first time flying alone, without their parents, and the first step towards adulthood. After a few hours on the plane, England greeted them with a cool morning and bright sunshine☀️. The girls were also met by our teacher🥁, Christine, a person with a Big Golden heart, embodying love. We appreciate her greatly and love her infinitely ❤️.
So what kind of camp were they at?...The camp is located in a picturesque corner of England, in the town of Bishop’s Stortford. Specifically, they spent two unforgettable weeks at Bishop’s Stortford College International Summer School. The girls were enchanted by the atmosphere of the place – it felt like a real fairy tale, with its own legends and secrets.
Every day they discovered something new. In the mornings, they had English classes, where they had the opportunity to communicate with teachers who helped them improve their English. In the evenings, there were many themed parties, competitions, afternoon clubs, activities, events, and games, which made each day unique.
At the camp, they had the opportunity to meet interesting people from all over the world, which helped them step out of their comfort zone. The girls quickly found common ground with peers, met the cutest younger students from different countries!

,,The trip to the Bishop's Stortford camp in the UK was a dream come true. I had no idea that these two weeks would change my life so much. Every day was filled with new discoveries, incredible acquaintances, and unforgettable moments. I felt like a part of something bigger, immersed in the beauty of English nature and culture. It wasn't just a camp — it was a place that gave me unforgettable memories and true friends. It was a place where I not only improved my English, but also made new friends, discovered a different culture, and immersed myself in the fabulous atmosphere of England.
Every day was full of discoveries: historical tours, exciting parties, and meeting with people from all over the world. These two weeks will forever remain in my heart. I can't stop crying now, remembering these moments, and I dream of coming back and meeting everyone again, I’m very grateful to fate and with all my heart to Yuliya, Daria, Funders and the whole Svitlo School organisation, without you, there was no us. You’re our everything, keep growing !’’♥️

“This incredible trip changed me, I met many wonderful people and those famous places. Words are not enough to describe the emotions I felt when I was there! This wonderful trip gave me joy, new impressions and friends. I also improved my English in practice! And I took an art class where we learnt not only about art history but I also created a beautiful notebook, which is one of the many beautiful things from the UK!
I am incredibly grateful for this trip as it was an experience that will last a lifetime, thank you Svitlo, Bishop’s Stortford and every teacher, volunteer and sponsor who supported us in these dreams that became real!” 🫶🏻❤️
This adventure will forever remain in the girls' memories as one of the most memorable experiences of their lives. The summer holidays in the UK were not just a vacation for them, but an opportunity to expand their horizons, make new friends, and start dreaming about future journeys and discoveries.
The excursions to historical sites were particularly fascinating. Oxford, London, Cambridge, Canterbury — the girls still can’t believe they visited these famous sights. Stacy couldn’t tear away from the local shops that sold the most delicious chocolates and souvenirs 🍭🍬.
The two weeks at the camp flew by like a dream. Stacy and Uliana returned home with countless stories, new ideas, and a wealth of emotions. Their hearts were filled with the confidence that new adventures lay ahead. The trip to the UK not only gave them a taste of travel but also showed them how vast and diverse the world is.
This adventure will forever remain in the girls' memory as one of the most unforgettable experiences of their lives. The summer holidays in the UK were not just a (vacation or holiday) for them, but an opportunity to see an incredible country, make new friends, improve their English and academic skills. They start dreaming about new journeys and discoveries!
