Another great day, another great blog to embark on with our wonderful students Mariam and Angelina about their experience in LONDON!🤩Be ready to be completely amazed and immersed in the vibe of the magnificent England. Now let’s see what girls have to say:
Angelina: Studying in London was an unforgettable adventure!😍Every day brought new discoveries, and my English improved rapidly through constant communication with native speakers. Living with a host family was wonderful — they became like a second family to me 💗. We spent evenings talking, laughing, and sharing stories, and I truly felt at home 🏠 .
I met students from around the world, and together we explored London after classes 😁. Walking along the river Thames, visiting the British Museum, and enjoying the city's charm left lasting memories in my heart ❤️. My time in London and with my host family will always remain one of the brightest moments in my life! 🥰
And now let’s see what Mariam thinks of her adventure😉
Mariam: Without any exaggeration I can surely state that my holiday in London was absolutely perfect! And by that I mean not only the weather (surprisingly, it rained only two times during two weeks), but also people, impressions, heart-touching coincidences and cheerful happy moments.
For the first time in my life I went alone abroad, stayed at student accommodation and unexpectedly found so many fascinating people, with some of whom we became close friends and still keep in touch. With them I discovered tons of new places that London warmly offered us. And never in my life I hadn’t been outdoors until the late evening so often, exploring the city and using every chance to walk down more streets, visit more sites and spend more time outside with people.
It's really hard for me to choose the most memorable moment, when the whole trip was a complete memorable moment itself! So let's stop at least at two, which I'd be happy to share with you.
As the first memorable moment I'd choose the British Museum. I went there with my class and in small groups did some minor research. It was an assignment from our teacher: find particular artifacts, take a selfie with them and explain what they are and what's the meaning behind them. This programme worked very well. We were interested all the time!
The second memorable moment is definitely having a picnic with my friends at Hyde Park. There were 12 of us there, we stayed up late and had a lot of fun and we have lots of pictures to remember. The funny story behind it is that I actually lost one person, my classmate, because I didn't have any contact with them or their social media, that's why I was sure that they won't join us. But then magic happened and my flatmate suddenly sent me a message, that she gave my instagram to that person so that we could get in touch and find each other. And oh how lucky I was when I texted that person and the immediate reply I got was "i'm already at hyde park, what a perfect timing". So the reunion was successfully completed and I felt like it was like it should have been, everyone was here, at their place and no-one was forgotten.
The trip to London was my dream coming alive: bright, vivid and full of adventures. There are no words existing to express how lucky and happy I am to experience everything that happened to me in London. I'm eternally grateful to Yuliya and all members of Svitlo School team, who were responsible for this journey: your actions and work are priceless, thank you!
Now I have almost 3000 photos from my summer trip to England and if I had a chance to go back in time and relive that special two weeks of August, without any hesitation, I'd say a loud, confident "Yes!".
Of course these couple of weeks went by so quickly, but despite that girls from now have memories and stories, which they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives, and probably will tell their grandchildren in the future😁
