Since our initiative focuses on promoting reading, one of the best ways to support us is by donating books. If you have books in good condition that you no longer need or have surplus copies of, please consider sending them to us in London. We will ship them to Ukraine to support our Svitlo Reads initiative or place them in a mini library within a bomb shelter at a Ukrainian school. For schools, sharing information with parents, and for publishing houses, sharing with customers, can make a significant difference. This helps raise awareness about our mission to make reading in English more accessible in Ukraine, encouraging more people to donate books or support us financially.

Еo bring our objectives to life, we need not only books but also funding to cover essential costs, such as shipping fees from the UK to Ukraine, bookshelves for the mini libraries, transportation within Ukraine, and purchasing specific books. One impactful way to support us is by organizing a fundraising initiative for our project.
For instance, a group of students from Wellington College reached out to Svitlo with a proposal to raise £1,000—an amount sufficient to cover all expenses related to setting up one mini library in a school’s bomb shelter in Ukraine.
