Svitlo Reads is a student-led initiative designed to make reading in English more accessible and enjoyable in Ukraine. Created and brought to life by Svitlo students Dora, Andriy, Alina, Anna, Nastya, Angelina, Liza, and Oleksandra, the project is supported by Svitlo School, which collects books in the UK and ships them to Ukraine. Under our guidance, the students manage all other aspects of the initiative.
Svitlo Reads offers these students a chance to develop entrepreneurial skills, alongside other valuable transferable skills such as teamwork, communication, and creativity. All proceeds from Svitlo Reads go directly to support the Svitlo School charity.
To purchase or rent books, please visit our Instagram store @svitloreads. Browse our collection, select the book you'd like to purchase or rent, and message us with your choice.
Alternatively, you can email us at svitloreads@gmail.com, and we will send you a selection of available books that might interest you.
Once you've made your selection, send us a direct message on Instagram @svitloreads, and we’ll ask for your Nova Poshta details (full name, phone number, city, and post office information). We will dispatch your order within a couple of days. Delivery fee is paid by the customer.
Prices are listed under each book post on our Instagram page. If you choose to rent a book, you’ll initially pay the full price. A portion of the payment will be refunded when the book is returned.
