Started attending Svitlo: November 2023

Responsibilities:

• ‍BUDDY: Timetables for classes can look a bit overwhelming for new students, so I decided to lend a hand to those who need help adapting. This includes answering students’ questions about Svitlo School.
• Head of younger prefects: Since my first steps were in the younger group at Svitlo School, and I still keep in touch with many of the active younger pupils, I’m very happy to be part of the prefect system! I help students become more responsible.
• Mini-prefect for the lesson “English Intermediate” with Chloe Zhiwei Guo: I’m responsible for tracking student attendance, and I also mark their house points  for participation in the lesson given by the teacher .

Plans for the future:

I am still searching for them, but I know for sure that English will be connected to my future.

One sentence to describe yourself:

I’m trying to create a universe within myself where I feel free.

What Svitlo School means to Ira:

The outbreak of a full-scale war took away my ability to enjoy anything or feel normal. I joined Svitlo in November 2023, and sometimes I wish it had happened sooner. But better late than never, right? :) I never thought any school could become such a regular part of my life, where I would participate on my own initiative. Fortunately for me, it happened! And that place was Svitlo School.
