Heather Rhodes has been involved with online education for over ten years, most recently as the founding Principal of Highgrove Education, an international online school for academically ambitious pupils. She first came across Svitlo School in May last year, and was immediately impressed by the determination and resilience of the pupils and the capacity of online education to support pupils impacted by conflict. She worked with Yuliya to set up a peer teaching programme between pupils from Harrow School Online and Svitlo, and has since supported Svitlo as it has developed its online programmes and school policies. She became a trustee in February 2023. Heather spends her free time swimming, reading and travelling, and lives in London with her Mexican husband, two daughters and a house full of pets.
